Vietnam’s CMC Telecom desires to take its brand to the world, leveraging the numerous global industry recognitions and certifications it has scored and its determination to deliver world-class products and services.
Starting two years ago, following the strategic investment from Malaysia-backed TIME dotCom Berhad (TIME) in 2015, CMC Telecom, one of the four leading telecommunications service providers in Vietnam, has begun its quest to overhaul its brand identity and set the new mission to showcase its brand to the world. The company does so with confidence after achieving international and regional recognitions and awards.
“CMC Telecom wants to turn our dream of digitalisation into reality,” said Dang Tung Son, deputy CEO of CMC Telecom at a recent interview with VIR.
In as little as two years, the telecommunications firm has made itself one of the Asia-Pacific’s 25 Most Promising Telecom Solution Providers in 2016 by providing one-stop-shop ICT solutions for enterprises and the Asia-Pacific’s 25 Managed Service Providers in 2018 with its comprehensive range of converged solutions in ICT technology, including networking, security, and cloud solutions, both by APAC CIO Outlook.
In addition, CMC Telecom came closer to its dream when it was honoured with various accolades, including the Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) 3.0 Certification in July this year, becoming one of the first three service providers in the world to be certified for their ability to deliver standards-based local, national, and global Ethernet services.
“Ultimately, we strive for this level of certification so that our global and domestic customers can have peace of mind on compatibility and ease of integration. By becoming the first MEF 3.0-certified service provider in the world, we can proudly say that we are able to deliver scalable, reliable next-generation Ethernet services to enterprise and carrier customers across the diverse connectivity in metro network we serve,” said Son upon receiving the certificate.
CMC Telecom’s international crusade started with attention to detail, Son shared, when the company cinched an agreement to proved all the connected network infrastructure of Samsung in Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. “We support the network ecosystem for some 200 Samsung agencies. When Samsung representatives arrived at our office, they were rather surprised to see a clip of Samsung on our displays. They asked us why? We said we wanted them to feel at home. It is as simple as that.”
“This has been one of our keys to success: we may be young, but we go the extra miles to dig deep to find value for our customers,” he stressed.
In the domestic market, Son noted that CMC Telecom has positioned itself as a converged telecom solutions provider for large-scale enterprises, and in the next three years it will move beyond the borders of Vietnam and the ASEAN to reach the world beyond.
“We are currently expanding our co-operation with many major partners in the US and the EU and we are also working with partners in very tough markets, such as the Middle East and Africa.”
“With our outreach in terms of network infrastructure and access to customers, we have been trusted by lots of global multinational corporations to provide ICT services to their global supply chain,” said Son.
