CMC FORGES STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH NTT DATA, EXPANDING IT SERVICE DELIVERY FOR THE JAPANESE AND VIETNAMESE MARKETS

Jan 28, 2026

CMC Global, a member of CMC Corporation, has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with NTT DATA and NTT DATA Vietnam to strengthen IT service delivery capacity for the Japanese and Vietnamese markets, while paving the way for deeper collaboration on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI).

The signing ceremony took place on January 27, 2026 in Tokyo, Japan. The three parties agreed to advance cooperation along three key directions: ensuring delivery resources, coordinating business development, and accelerating research and development (R&D). The goal is to build a delivery model with sufficient capacity to serve large-scale projects and advanced technology requirements, including AI.

Three-party collaboration across the service supply chain

In this partnership, NTT DATA will connect with customers, contribute expertise in large-scale system implementation, and provide overall project governance. NTT DATA Vietnam will manage remote IT service delivery operations in Vietnam for the Japanese market, while coordinating business activities with local partners.

CMC Global will focus on supporting resource assurance (recruitment and training), delivering solutions and services in areas such as AI, cloud computing, and data analytics, and working with CMC Corporation to expand broader business cooperation.

By combining the strengths of the three parties, the cooperation is expected to enhance readiness for new technologies such as AI, increase the ability to execute large-scale projects, and deliver more flexible and competitive services.

This partnership is driven by demand for technology modernization and IT talent shortages in Japan, as many enterprises seek to accelerate digital transformation, optimize operations, and improve customer experience. Vietnam is increasingly viewed as a suitable destination thanks to its talent capabilities, scalable workforce, and experience delivering for Japanese customers. CMC Global has been trusted and selected by NTT DATA and NTT DATA Vietnam as an IT service partner for customers in Japan and Vietnam.

A new boost for CMC’s “Accelerate your AI-X” strategy

CMC Global positions its cooperation with NTT DATA within CMC Corporation’s 2026 direction under the message “Accelerate your AI-X”—bringing AI into customers’ operational and growth challenges, while upgrading service delivery capabilities in line with international standards.

Over the longer term, CMC aims to become “a global-scale AI transformation company (A Global AI-X Company).” Following an ecosystem approach, over 33 years of development CMC has built its operating pillars across Digital Infrastructure; Technology & Solutions; International Business; and Research & Education, while expanding global presence through a model of “growing alongside substantive growth.”

In 2025, CMC recorded international market growth of around 30%, with profit up 34%. The Group is present in 30 countries and maintains representative offices in more than 10 countries. Notably, CMC established entities in Malaysia (CMC Global Malaysia) and the United States (CMC North America), and is proceeding with formalities to open offices in strategic U.S. states including Illinois, California, Texas, and Florida, while preparing to further expand key markets in 2026.

Witnessing the signing between CMC Global, NTT DATA, and NTT DATA Vietnam, Nguyễn Trung Chính, Chairman of CMC Corporation, emphasized:

“The three-party partnership signing is a strong step forward for CMC on its path to global markets—delivering international-class services and realizing the ambition to become a global AI transformation company, A Global AI-X Company, from now to 2030.”

In the time ahead, the three parties will continue to promote research and implementation initiatives to strengthen the development framework, enhance service delivery quality, and expand the ability to support large-scale AI application projects for the Japanese market.
