As a multinational company, Wilmar also uses the platforms of international Cloud service providers such as AWS and Microsoft Azure. However, the obstacle is that the fixed costs on these platforms are quite expensive and sometimes inflexible for IT staff when deploying applications. As the production scale gets larger, the amount of access to system management software increases, leading to data access congestion. The CMC Cloud platform integrates the Auto Scaling service, which will automatically increase or decrease the number of virtual servers distributed to the application at all times according to usage needs.

Every 5 minutes, the system will automatically check and issue warnings to ensure the VM is not overloaded. Combined with the Elastic Load Balancer feature, data will be load balanced between servers effectively, ensuring stable operating performance.

CMC Cloud’s portal is also applied with the “Pay as you go” billing method calculated by day instead of by month like other providers in the market. Using CMC Cloud has helped save up to 25% of costs compared to Wilmar operating the old system itself.
