Job Objectives

• Design, implement, and maintain a highly available SQL Server infrastructure across multiple sites using Always On Availability Group (AG).
• Lead SQL Server infrastructure upgrades, including operating systems, SQL Server versions, and virtualization platforms, following best practices and minimizing service disruption.
• Ensure High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) objectives are achieved, meeting defined RPO/RTO targets and maintaining operational continuity after failover.
• Ensure all database-related operational processes, including SQL Agent Jobs, ETL processes, batch jobs, and integrations, continue functioning correctly after failover events.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and manage SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and WSFC.
• Execute SQL Server upgrades, migrations, and failover activities.
• Monitor database availability, performance, and AG synchronization status.
• Conduct DR drills, failover testing, and validate RPO/RTO targets.
• Troubleshoot HA/DR, clustering, and failover-related issues.
• Create operational runbooks, technical documentation, and handover materials.

Key Requirements (Qualifications / Experience / Skills)

• 5+ years of experience in SQL Server Administration or Infrastructure Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Always On Availability Groups and Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC).
• Strong knowledge of High Availability (HA), Disaster Recovery (DR), Backup & Recovery, and Failover processes.
• Experience with T-SQL, PowerShell, SQL Server monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of Windows Server, networking, and virtualization environments.
• Experience conducting DR drills and maintaining operational documentation.
• Good English communication skills (mandatory).
